How to collect a deposit

Turn on deposits in Booking & deposits, set a percentage or a minimum amount, and choose which services need one. Clients pay it online when they book, and it is taken off their bill at checkout.
Turn on deposits
- Open Settings and find Booking & deposits.
- Set the Deposit %, and a Minimum Deposit Amount if you want one.
- Choose which services need a deposit. Many owners ask only on long or expensive services.
What clients see
When a client books online, the deposit is shown before they pay. They pay by card, transfer or USSD through Paystack, and the booking is confirmed straight away. Until it is paid, the booking shows as Awaiting Deposit.
At checkout
The deposit is already on the bill, so the client only pays the rest.
If the client cancels
Your cancellation policy decides what happens to the deposit. Clients see the policy before they book. Only you can start a refund; see how deposits and refunds work.
You need a payout account before you can take online payments.
